Kul Tiras Marine
Armor Type: Mail/Plate
Level Req.: 57
Source: BoE world drops/Crafted
Availability: Non-transmogrifiable. Potentially time consuming to complete, but without much effort required
How to get the set:
This outfit is based around the Kul Tiras Marines which once roamed around Tiragarde Keep in Durotar. Tragically, when the Cataclysm struck, all but one marine were killed in a tidal wave. The sole survivor is now perched in the crow’s nest of a ship washed aground, over 100 yards from the shore.
You can read more about the Kul Tiras on Wowpedia.
The set cannot be transmogrified, as it’s a mixture of mail and plate items.
It’s important to note that there is no Kul Tiras tabard available in-game. The one shown in the image is a guild tabard which has been designed to replicate those worn by the marines in Durotar. Therefore, this look cannot be perfectly imitated unless you have your own Kul Tiras guild. We’ve included an alternative chestpiece, as shown in the second picture, which might suffice if you are not able to wear this specialised guild tabard.

Just an FYI, there’s a small mistake on this page. Under “Alternative (Female Human)”, you have SHOULDERS: Imperial Plate CHEST. I don’t think I can wear a breastplate on my shoulders 🙂
Raise your Blacksmithing skill high enough and I’m sure you can find a way to re-fashion the chest to fit your shoulders (fixed).
Hmm.. this set doesn’t really look like a Kul Tiras Marine. I know there’s no plate set with those green outlines, but the overlord’s “set” has the same exact texture :3
Great job on the tabard though 😀
The original Kul Tiras marine armor in-game isn’t quite identical to the Overlord’s items, but there are indeed strong similarities. The Kul Tiras legs and chest armor have wrapped plating for example, as opposed to the plates rigged onto chainmail, which Overlord’s features.
As you pointed out though, the green highlighted plate items don’t exist. Only a few of the models worm by the marine are extant in-game, and even those are in completely different colourations. This outfit will always be a compromise.
