We started work on this site in 2009, with the aim of providing a resource for roleplayers to find visual depictions of potential outfits. With the recent announcement of Transmogrification arriving in Patch 4.3, our audience has expanded drastically.
We are aware that many of our articles don’t cater too well for those hoping to transmogrify, i.e. sets with a mixture of different armor types, sets with common (white) items included, etc. However, we intend to create future articles with these issues in mind, and will perhaps revise our current database, in order to make things easier for transmogrifiers.
Happy gear hunting!

I fall into both categories–RP and (future) Transmogrifier. I stumbled upon this site while looking for gear sets and got really excited. I love all your RP gear links, and hope you keep them up and running, but I’m also very interested in seeing “look-alike-tier” sets for those that may be leather wearers but not a druid, for instance.
Again, GREAT site! Thank you so much for all the hard work!
I came across your website after the Transmogrification announcement and I have become somewhat obsessed with it. I’ve always wanted a visual guide to all of the visual sets in the game and you have it! I have one request though. For the Sunwell sets that are incomplete without class specific Tier 6 pieces would you be able to suggest alternatives? I am a druid and I would love to wear the look of the Brown Sunwell Leather set but I don’t have access to matching boots or belt. Thanks for your awesome site! I’m looking forward to how you do the Wrath tiers with their 2-3 different recolorings.
Hey Lycanthro
I’ll note it down that the Sunwell sets need a section for alternatives to the missing pieces. Briefly looking over them again, it should definitely be possible to find good matches that are not class specific.
And also thank you for your kind words!
Cool! 🙂
Hey… this is a great resouce, especially with Transmorgrification on the horizon. It there somewhere i can match weapons to the work you’ve done?
Hey Chad
In future posts and updates of old articles, we’re going to put more emphasis on at least one matching weapon suggestion. If you have good suggestions you would like to add, you are more than welcome to post this in the comments under the particular article(s).
Thank you! I’m not a RPer, but I love pretty dresses and (skimpy) outfits 😀 I will be sooo unproductive at work today… can’t wait for 4.3 and my druid finally getting a dress instead of the sucky T12!
Oh my, this place is huge!
While looking for dressing options for transmogrification, I stumbled upon a link to your site, and you’ve build quite an impressive collection here in an easily browsable way. I’ve promptly shared your site with the guildies, and I suspect that many an evening will be spent hunting around for odd pieces of gear 🙂
Thank you for all the effort you’ve put into this site – it’s much appreciated!
Hah, wow! I had no idea this site was created back in 2009…it’s like you guys made a website for the future! o.O
I love this site and I’m glad you guys have been getting a lot of hits. Looking forward to more content. Keep it up!
Haha yeah, our title now sounds a little funny, most people I suspect wont be coming for roleplay gear in the future, but transmog gear, oh well 🙂
I don’t know if this is happening for everyone, but whatever link I click on I get the identical icon for that set. Tier sets show me only the Death Knight tier set icon, and clicking that shows a page of the same Death Knight gear. No icons show for any gear for any other classes.
Same with robes, mail, stylish, etc. Only one icon showing on the entire page. I have tried viewing the site on another computer, but it’s the same.
Such a shame, because I now have no way of knowing what I’m looking at or what link to click. Hopefully this is just a bug and will be fixed soon 😀
… you are right… we have just noticed, thanks for bringing our attention to this. So strange, I don’t even know how this is possible… we will try and fix this now!
The bug seems to have been fixed by wordpress now. Let’s hope it doesn’t come back.
Howdy hi!
I’m one of the mods of MMO-Champion’s Roleplaying forum. I stumbled across this site while trying to find out where I could get the pieces to a certain custom set of armor for my warrior, and I quickly faved it. You guys are very thurough! I was hoping to possibly post a link to this site on the forum as a way for in-game roleplayers as well as others who want a nice shiny set to strut around with in Orgrimmar or Stormwind. My strange sense of courtesy tells me I should ask first 😛
Again, fantastic site!
Hello there,
We’d be proud to have you link to us on the MMO-Champion Roleplaying forums. We’ve had a large influx of would-be Transmogrifiers linking to us from MMO-C, but Roleplayers were after all our original audience.
Thanks for the kind words and interest in the site!
My pleasure. Sadly we are a fairly small (yet epic) community, but at times people do come in and ask for nice RP sets. We can shuttle them over here. Plus, most of the forum roleplayers have in-game characters and I am sure they would love the extra resource.
I will be writing up the post in the next hour or so.
Excellent, we look forward to reading it!
Tada!

Thanks for this great site.
We are currently developing a tool to manage item whishlists and collections and would really like to include your blog in a widget by using your RSS feed on our startpage.
If this is ok for you, you can contact me via email used to post this comment or http://www.warcraftsets.com
best regards

I love this site! Please consider compiling PvP gear sets or the ZA/ZG “sets” next.
At the moment I have a list right in front of me of some 85 sets to add and I’m afraid that neither PvP or Zul gear comes into that list. In the future however… keep your eyes peeled!
When looking through one of the stylish pages I was thinking about how there are no T7 recolors and how that’s unfortunate. I also remembered that instead of just using recolors they made 4 unique armor sets with various recolors for T7 off pieces, including the armor models for the DK starting blue armor. I would love if you could profile these as I’ve wanted to get that red set of DK armor for a while. And they’re also some pretty nice looking and unique sets for each armor type.
Any thoughts of completing pieces to scaled draenic armor?
