Coldrock Set

The Coldrock Set

Armor Type: Plate
Level Req.: 68
Source: BoE world drops/Quests
Availability: Potentially time consuming, check the Auction House frequently

How to get the set:
Items of the Coldrock set can be found as random world BoE drops from creatures approximately within the 68-72 level range, in Northrend, particularly with Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight, and their relevant dungeons.

There are also quest rewards for both Horde and Alliance which match the exact look of this set, all obtainable within Dragonblight. You can locate them by following the item links below, clicking the “Same model as” tab, and checking the listed items for ones with the same colour. This is a great option for completing a lookalike for the Coldrock set, if you haven’t already completed the quests in the past!

Head – Coldrock Helmet (BoE world drop)
Shoulders – Coldrock Pauldrons (BoE world drop)
Chest – Coldrock Breastplate (BoE world drop)
Wrists – Coldrock Bracers (BoE world drop)
Gloves – Coldrock Gauntlets (BoE world drop)
Waist – Coldrock Girdle (BoE world drop)
Legs – Coldrock Legplates (BoE world drop)

A recolored version of this set (Blue) would be the Balheim set.

  2. The blacksmith crafted Tempered Saronite set looks identical to this and is much easier to obtain, if you are or know someone with that profession.

It does require level 78 to wear all of items in the set, though, as opposed to 68 for Coldrock.

Goes great with the Felcloth Hood, a dark tabard and the Bloodknight Cloak. A good shield and weapon for this set is actually Ymiron’s Blade and Saronite Defendor.

    Hope this helps.

I saw on someone’s blog that they’re using this (or actually the tempered saronite) as their Blood Knight set. Works well i think, as the suit has almost the color of drying blood.

BTW, Fang of Truth (honored, wyrmrest accord) is a perfect 1h sword for this set.

I prefer the helm off Razorscale, uld 10, Dragonsteel Faceplate for helm, because the one from this set is rather dorky. Also, I use a green boe named “Strapped Heater Shield” as a shield. Also like the others said, Fang of Truth or Ymiron’s Blade. They have the same graphic but Ymiron’s Blade is easier to obtain.

I have this set with the in-game store transmog helm “Hood of Hungering Darkness” on my Blood Elf Pally. Its sort of a Dark Blood knight look. I use Cataclysm’s Edge or Pit Lord’s Destroyer for my DPS weapon. But I would really like Terokk’s Legacy back
